The only thing that can heal your body is your own body. Fluids carry the nutrients and cells that allow healing to happen. Some tissues heal relatively quickly largely due to a good blood supply such as muscles, whilst others with poor blood flow take a long time such as tendons, ligaments and cartilage.
K-Laser uses 4 wavelengths of light to speed up the body’s natural healing process on a cellular level. This results in quicker healing times and with old persistent injuries a proper start to the healing.
Bannerdale Osteopaths are happy to be the first clinic in Yorkshire to offer this exceptional treatment to our patients.

Absolutely! K-Laser therapy has been proven to work very effectively when used in conjunction with complementary therapies such as Osteopathy to increase the effectiveness of the treatment and speed up your recovery.
How many treatments does it take?
This will depend on the frequency of your treatments, and your individual condition. Some acute or minor injuries might only need 2-3 treatments, we typically recommend 5-6 treatments, usually spread over 3 weeks, although for more chronic conditions you may find that more treatments are needed. It is important that you commit to doing a full course of treatment before starting, as it may take a couple for you to feel the benefit. For conditions such as severe arthritis ongoing care seems to work best but in most cases the improvement lasts as laser healing speeds up the natural process of healing.
How long before I feel any benefit?
You may feel an improvement in your condition (usually pain reduction and increased mobility) after the very first treatment. Sometimes you will not feel any improvement for several treatments. This does not mean that your condition isn’t improving. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.
What does it feel like?
K-Laser is completely pain-free, patients have described it as “A deep warmth under the skin” and “pleasant and comforting to receive.”

What our patients say:
“I have noticed a significant improvement in my shoulder which had become chronic after leaving it for three years. The pain also went into my neck and after K-Laser therapy my shoulder joint and neck pain have lessened. I would definitely have the same treatment on my knees which have arthritis.” – Anne Sheffield
“My hand and fingers were constricted with duputrens-like thickening of tendons and scar tissue following an arm fracture. What I have noticed is a significant improvement in my hand, with the tendons much less prominent and the palm softer. The fleshy mounds below the fingers also feel softer, and the hand has opened out a bit. My hand looks more ‘normal’; more like my other hand. The change in the appearance and less ‘stringy’ and rigid feel of the inside of my hand has been great. The K-Laser seems to be the only therapy that has been able to soften the tissues, so I feel very positive about the treatment and hopeful that it may encourage even more changes to my hand and fingers with further treatments. K-Laser has given me hope of healing when I was resigned to just trying to prevent the results of injury from getting worse and constricting further.” – Tamsin, Sheffield
“I have been in a lot of pain for many years before and after surgery on both knees and the treatment has been surprising in its effectiveness. I would recommend anyone with persistent joint pain to try it. If it works for you, its benefits are incredible.” – Caroline, Sheffield
“The day after my short burst of treatment, I had a considerable reduction in pain (in excess of the reduction I’d usually expect after ‘normal Osteopathic’ treatment). It’s not at all intrusive and seems to complement the other treatment well.” – James, Sheffield
“I definitely noticed a difference after treatment, it helped me walk confidently enough to stop relying on my crutches as support. very, very impressed.” – Sami, Leeds
